SAY IT. DONE.

Say it.
It's done.

Hold a key and talk. Words to type appear at the cursor the moment you let go. Things to do, MaxTalk rewrites, answers, notes down and schedules.

TALK LESS, DO MORE

One key types.
One key gets things done.

Typing should be instant; doing things should be right. MaxTalk gives each its own key, so neither slows the other down.

01 / TWO KEYS

Dictation key: let go, it's typed.
AI key: understood, then done.

The dictation key doesn't interpret: what you say goes straight to the cursor, in chats, browsers, documents and the terminal alike. The AI key works out what you mean: it answers, rewrites, saves ideas or gets things done.

  • Record any key: a right-hand modifier, Fn or a combination
  • Hold to talk or press to start; double-tap for hands-free
  • Didn't land? Press ⌃⌘V to type it again

02 / ON-DEVICE

Your voice stays on your Mac,
and it costs nothing.

Whisper recognizes speech on your Mac, accelerated by Apple silicon, so dictation works offline. Chinese, English and a mix of both, plus your own vocabulary for names and terms.

  • Recommended model Large v3 Turbo (quantized), about 574 MB, one click in setup
  • Dictation alone needs no API key at all
  • A cloud recognizer is an option too

03 / GET IT DONE

Say what needs doing.
It takes the last step for you.

Reminders, to-dos, events and email drafts; opening apps and System Settings; searching a site like GitHub or YouTube; running your Shortcuts; preparing a WeChat or Slack message. Anything that writes to another app waits for your nod.

  • Messages are only prepared; you always press send
  • Unsure? It asks first, and never types a command into someone's chat

04 / YOUR MODELS

The models you trust.
Straight there, never through us.

Bring your own API key: requests go from your Mac straight to the provider you chose. MaxTalk has no servers of its own. Keys live in the macOS Keychain; history stays on your Mac.

MADE FOR YOUR DAY

Hands on the keyboard.
Work keeps moving.

/ 01

Reply to messages

Someone asks in the group chat. Hold the dictation key and answer; the words go straight into the box, with fillers and self-corrections tidied up.

“Um… heads up, the launch moves to tomorrow afternoon, no wait, Thursday afternoon.”

/ 02

Fix your writing

Select a paragraph that came out too casual, say the tone and length you want, then decide whether to replace it.

“Make it more formal, three sentences max.”

/ 03

Handle things in passing

Say it the moment it comes to mind: a reminder, an event, an app, a search, without stopping what you are doing.

“Review the new home page with design next Wednesday at 10.”

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you start,
you might want to know.

MaxTalk is still being polished. Give it a try.

Which Macs are supported?

The current preview is for Macs with Apple silicon (M-series chips) and needs macOS 13 or later. There is no Intel, Windows or iPhone version yet.

Do I need to buy an API key?

No. With the dictation key alone, Whisper recognizes speech on your Mac: no key and no network. For the AI key (answers, rewrites, actions) add your own key, for example OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, or a local model in Ollama.

Is my voice or text uploaded?

With local Whisper your voice never leaves your Mac. With AI, requests go from your Mac straight to the provider you chose, not through MaxTalk (we have no servers). API keys are kept in the macOS Keychain and history stays on your Mac. See the privacy notes.

What permissions does it need?

Microphone (to hear you), Accessibility (to type into text fields and read selected text) and Input Monitoring (to notice your talk key). Reminders and Calendar access is asked for only when you add one.

Will it send messages or change things on its own?

It never sends a message or email: drafts are prepared and you press send. Anything that writes to another app, such as reminders, events or running a shortcut, waits for your confirmation every time. There are no delete actions.

Is this a final release?

Not yet. This is a developer preview, signed with a development certificate and not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS may show a security prompt when you install it. The install guide walks you through it.

SAY IT. DONE.

Next time something comes to mind,
just say it.

Give your Mac a key that listens, writes and gets things done.
